Venice Santa Lucia Train Station
Cars cannot drive directly to Santa Lucia station. The closest vehicle-accessible drop-off is Piazzale Roma, which is within comfortable walking distance. If your plan involves catching a train from Santa Lucia, Piazzale Roma is the correct arrival point for your transfer.
Venice Mestre

Venice Historic Centre
The historic centre is not accessible by car. Once you reach Piazzale Roma or Tronchetto, you continue on foot or by private water taxi depending on where your hotel is located.
The right arrival point for your journey is agreed before you book. If you are not sure which option suits your hotel or address, mention it when you request a quote and we will advise.
Many travellers arriving at Piazzale Roma or Tronchetto continue to their hotel by private water taxi, particularly if the hotel is in a part of the historic centre that is awkward to reach on foot with luggage.
A private water taxi can be arranged in advance and coordinated with your transfer so the timing and meeting point are confirmed before you arrive. This removes the need to find and negotiate a water taxi on the day.
Important: Private water taxi is not included in the base transfer price unless it is specifically stated in your quote. If you want to include it, mention this when booking and it will be confirmed and priced separately.
