An island of white linden can be found in Rovigo province and is to the south from Venice. The island itself is situated on the territory on the Po Delta Biosphere Reserve. It name derives from the Latin phrase "Populus Alba" (a white linden). Plenty of these trees can be found on its territory.

Isola Albarella is a private island, one can't simply drive here. The territory of this island is on private property. Since 1988, one third of the island belongs to the Marcegaglia family and is a part of the Marcegaglia Tourism group.

In order to be authorized to enter the territory of the island, each tourist should obtain a special pass.
